Many people will rightly ask us the question, "What do
we believe in?"
Because
we are police officers, sheriff's deputies, highway patrolmen, state police
officers and federal agents; as well as the wives, husbands and children that
support us in our law enforcement endeavor. And because we all share a common
set of spiritual values, we have gathered around a common philosophy that reflects our core principles of faith and duty.
We are certified law enforcement officers who come from rural America and the smallest cities and the largest of metropolises. We serve on municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies; we work in all areas and levels of the law enforcement spectrum. In a profession that is dedicated to protecting and serving a world that is falling apart around us, we strive to provide a place of peace and solace where law enforcement families can find relaxation, peace, rest and reclaim their purpose in an environment of relative safety and security.
Our Mission: The Law Enforcement Summit Team seeks to provide tools for developing character and ministry that are designed by cops, compiled by cops, taught by cops and members of their immediate families. Our goal is that they possess the knowledge and skills necessary to cope with the life they have chosen. That of being a cop in a world gone crazy.
Our Vision: Each Law Enforcement Summit strives to provide an interactive process where Christian officers and their spouses, by talking about their own life experiences, can share their strengths and weaknesses; their failures and successes experienced in maintaining their faith - faith in themselves, faith in others, faith in the SYSTEM and faith in a loving God.
Our Reason: Often the only place a law enforcement officer feels safe, is with fellow officers. It is easy to see how, given the day to day assault on all law enforcement officers, that without God's strength they could become bitter, disillusioned and even abusive veterans. The reason for this conference is to provide that environment where officers can feel safe to say, "It is okay for me to be a cop and be a Christian."
"We come from all walks of Law Enforcement, from the
largest of the Police Departments to the smallest of the County Sheriff
Offices. We are city, county, state, and federal officers with an even wider
range of duties and experiences, but we all have one common cause that brings
us together with no difference between. We love our families and are seeking to find a solace for them and
ourselves in this world that has gone crazy around us.We want to beat the odds of divorce,
depression, suicide, and other issues that plague the Law Enforcement
family. We care enough to reach out and
share and listen and learn what we can do to keep our families together-
healthy and happy."
